Dear friends,
the 24th of October Jimmy is starting his "Roots"-Tour in Hannover/Germany with roundabout 30 Concerts.
And he has a small surprise for you.
Jimmy:"In the summer of 2008 I found myself playing music on the streets again. Often on the very same streets I grew up on with my brothers and sisters. Singing and dancing on the streets was our way of life many, many years ago. And now after all this time of touring and recording on a whole different level with The Kelly Family I found the experience on the street, only this time by myself, very refreshing and therapeutic. I soon realized how much I forgot of where I come from or want to go. And because sometimes it’s important to know your roots before you go on I am very thankful to have rediscovered the streets again.
On a bright summer day I called my friend Nicky and told him I would like to make a low budget CD, something that would have the attitude of the streets.
He suggested to me that we could take a laptop and a few mikes into the rehearsal room. A few days later we did just that. Two hours later this is what we came up with.
The songs were performed once through and this is how we left them…rough and raw but hopefully real. In other words: This is a live recording that happened in a rehearsal room within the span of a couple of hours very much like demos are made.
In spite of its flaws I think we managed to get something of what we
aimed for – ROOTS!"

Jimmy is also still working on his soloalbum and he is recording til the beginning of the tour.
